Matthew 7:7-11

 ⁷ “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ⁸ For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

   ⁹ “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? ¹⁰ Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? ¹¹ If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

James 1:2-8

² Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, ³ because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. ⁴ Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. ⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. ⁶ But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. ⁷ That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. ⁸ Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

many times i felt like giving up, but when i think about all that He has done.

it makes my heart grow stronger and stronger.

He gives me hope.  

this world gives me a lot of reasons to give up,

but God gives me more reasons to be thankful and hopeful.

sometimes, expressing our thoughts and feelings is not an easy thing to do. particularly when you're in painful and in difficult situations of your life. 

but thank God for the gift of music 'cos through this we can also express our deepest feelings when we run out of words to say. 

though i have difficulty expressing my feelings nowadays, these songs did.
