Best Gift Ever!

Before I jump to the happiest part of this post, allow me first to greet you a very pleasant day upon reading this one.

If you have read my posts before maybe you have an idea why it is really a big deal to me. Maybe to some of you it's just an ordinary thing but for me it really matters. So here I go.

Last month, I started a training in a company but unfortunately I wasn't able to passed. It made so depressed because I thought the job was really for me. Sad to say, it's NOT.  Simply to say, I failed. But my failure in that area of my life taught me a big lesson. Failure is not the basis of whether the person is good or not. Failure is just a stepping stone to success. read more....

After those painful days, I eventually learned to move forward and start again. So I applied to different companies but it took me a month again and still, there's no response from them regarding my final interview. It's just so stressful to wait for something you're not sure of. I was stressed-out and hopeless. Sins took a big part in my life. My thoughts were full of negative things. Every night, I'm pleading and praying to God "why is this all happening to me?"...  There was never a night that i never cried out to God for help. During those weak days of restlessness and tears, i found comfort and strength through God's Word. One of those was His Words in Isaiah 40: 29-31, "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Also, His Word in Jeremiah 29:11 reminds me that He planned a good future for me. read about it?

Again, I renew my strength and hope. I claim the victory that on or after my Birthday I will have a job. I really prayed to God that i am not going to ask for any gift on my birthday  except for a job.

Then, last Tuesday i celebrated my birthday. I thought there's was no something special that will happen. But when I got home and opened my computer, it made me glad to received and read so many lovely Birthday greetings from blogger, twitter, facebook friends and even text messages. All in all, i think i had a hundred of greetings. It's so overwhelming. Plus, I'm not expecting that my family will cooked for me but they did. Even though it's just a simple celebration on our home it really made my heart happy.

My birthday was done and still I haven't got the only gift I wanted to receive. Until, last Wednesday (August 15), my mind pushed me to apply in a hospital which is really my plan long before but I haven't been able to do. So i dragged myself out of bed and fixed myself. When I got to the hospital in the morning, I asked one intern from the human resource department and she told me to just put my resume on the drop box. I was double-minded to just drop my resume there and then go home. Until, I saw one of the HR personnel and I ran to him and said that I'm an applicant. Without further a do, he immediately said to me to go the testing room and had my exams. So I did. Looking back if I obeyed what the intern said to me to just drop my resume maybe I'm not where I am now. The exams took me until 3 o'clock in the afternoon and the test administrator told me to just come back tomorrow 10am for my interview. The next day (August 16), I arrived on time on the HR department. By 11am I'm done with my initial interview and the recruiter told me that he'll be endorsing me to the General Manager of the Admission Department where i am applying for. So i went down to the Admission and had my final interview with the manager.  I was so happy that she was really pleased with my personality and told me that she want to see my performance as soon as possible. Then, she signed my form that I'm HIRED. Upon knowing and hearing that, I was really in cloud 9. I'm so blessed and I can't explain how I felt at that time. In just a span of one hour I'm already hired. I can't believe. My mind at that time repeatedly saying "Finally, Thank You Lord."  An hour ago, as I wait for the job requirements, my sister called me. She told me that she had a feeling that I'll be getting hired that day. I haven't told anyone about the news even her, but look, what a sisterhood feeling. I immediately told her so, honestly I almost teared up while sharing the good news to her. We felt the same. How lovely :). One thing proves, if it's really for you, it will fall into it's proper place. No haggardness, no hardships, no failures, everything is just smooth. That was what happened to me and I called it God's timing.  And I really thank the HIM for answering my prayer and for giving me the best gift ever.

So now, I'm so proud that I'm going to be part of the most prestigious Hospital in the country "SLMC". I'm pressured because I know that my job will not be easy but at the same time I'm also excited. By the way, I was assigned to be an Admissions Assistant. Meaning, I'll be going to encounter different patient and people. Challenging!

Above all, I THANK, HONOR AND GLORIFY MY LORD ALMIGHTY for giving me the blessing that i never thought i would have.  HE really knows the best for HIS children. AND HE never fails those who put their trust and faith in HIM. PRAISE YOU LORD!

P.S. please be patient to me for posting this long. I just want to document and remember all the important happenings in my life. Anyways, THANK YOU FOR DROPPING BY MY BLOG AND FOR YOUR PATIENT IN READING THIS POST OF MINE.

GOD BLESS YOU, FRIEND. Have a nice day. :)

21st {twenty-first}

First of all, let me get something straight: today, the 14th day of August year 2012, I am celebrating my 21st Birthday, Yay!. I can't believe it's one year ago since i had my 20th. time really flies. Anyways, I don't know what's gonna happen today but I can feel that it'll be an awesome day (yes, puh-lease). I have plans today but not birthday plans (I actually don't have plans for my birthday). First thing,  I'll be heading out to do something really important and at the afternoon I'll be going to the University which i graduated from to get my transcript of records and meet some college friends. So definitely it's going to be a busy birthday ahead.

Looking back from my last year's birthday, it was full of unexpected things. Of course I enjoyed and had so much fun. Well every year, there's always something unique happens on my birthday. so today, I am expecting something new. Something that will make me so happy and so blessed.

But most of all, I give much Thanks to my Heavenly Father for giving me another year to experience His goodness and faithfulness in my life.

 that's all for now.

 Happy Birthday to me!!!
sharing this photo to give you all a smile :)

and Happy day to you, friend!!!

Footprints in the Sand

source
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.
This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. "LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

This is one of my favorite poems. It really encouragement me that during the saddest and darkest part of life, God is also there. He will never ever leave me. Like what He said in Hebrews 13:5, Never will i leave you, Never will i forsake." That's why no matter what happen, even if all else fades and leave me, i know I'll never be alone.
Be blessed, God bless!

To give me Hope and a Future

GROWING UP in a non-Christian family made me hard to believe that God already plan a future for me.

I grew up in a middle status of living, not rich and not so poor. My parents don't have professional jobs. My siblings and I studied at public schools because my parents don't have the money to pay for private schools. We grew up not having all that we wanted. We were taught to be contented on what was enough and necessary. At a young age, i felt jealous with other families who can have much more that what they needed.

Knowing and  realizing my family's situation at that time motivated me not to give up but to study hard, finish my study and then find a good job so that i would be able to help them.

As time goes by, I started attending Sunday School with my elder sister and sometimes with my two younger brothers. Until i became a teenager and got involved in Youth Ministry at the same church. It was then that my relationship with Jesus Christ became closer. I became a regular attendee of Church Service and Youth Fellowship. As I seek and serve God more in my life, problems and trials also came. Every time i face problems, i always asked God, "why is this happening to me and to my family?" But God didn't answered my question right away. Instead through His word, He helped me deal with life's difficulties and hardships. Through that, my relationship with Him became stronger. My family's situation became even better as the years passed by. My experiences taught me to trust God that all problems and hardships would come to pass. Step by step, God made me realized that He had something wonderful in store for me and for my family. He is also full of surprises, from an ordinary attendee of our Church, He chose me to be one of the Sunday School Teacher. I was also elected as Vice President of the Youth Ministry and now I'm currently the President. I never thought that He will use me to serve Him in bigger ways.

Even though until now my whole family is still not Christians, i still believe and pray that one day we'll all be together praising and serving the Lord. Nothing is impossible for God.

Recently, one of my dreams came true. I just graduated from college with a Bachelor's Degree. I'm grateful that God is little by little granting the desires of my heart.

Now, I'm in the stage of finding the right job. Although finding the right one for me really takes time, i still  believed that God always wants the best for me. So i'll let Him lead me to the right job, that will not only help me but my family as well. He knows the desires of my heart and i know that He will never left me without a future and career. I'll just have to continue to hold on to His precious promises in Jeremiah 29:11...

Always Trust God's Promises.
God bless you.

Thankful

First of all, I'm very thankful to God for the very very good news i received from last week. The company (Smart Communications Inc.) that applied for a job, called me and told me that i'll be starting my training on July 2. what a good news? I think I waited for more than a month before they called me. Then, during those days of waiting, I also decided to apply in other companies just to try but my heart really desire to work in Smart. I prayed everyday, get pressured everyday because my family wants me to have a job as soon as possible. But now all the pressures and the long wait is over, God answered my prayer. I'm so happy because He always listen to my heart's desire and knows what's best for His children. I'm thankful for the wisdom, confidence, provision, hope and favor He has given me. Finally, my long vacation will be over. I'm excited to start working and face the new chapter of my life as a career woman.

Summer Youth Camp

Last April 19-21, I was invited in a Summer Youth Camp entitled "A.Y.A.W." (Ako'y kay Yahweh, Ako'y Wagi)
Romans 8:31-32
I'm so glad and thankful to God for giving an opportunity to be one of the counselors in this camp. Actually it was my first time to be invited as a Counselor for a Youth Camp and for me that's a big privileged.  To share to you what happened on the Camp here's some sneak peak..

I've learned so many things in this camp that i can surely apply to my ministry in our church. Serving these kiddos was really my heart's desire, it's not that easy but it's so rewarding. My experiences here are all worth it. I do pray that all these young people will continue their relationship with JESUS CHRIST. and of course thanks be to God for all these good experiences. all Glory belongs to Him.

Romans 8:31-32
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

We are more than Conquerors.

for when I'm weak then I'm strong

sometimes it seems as if God allows circumstances into our lives that are harming us and are without plan. we may be sure, though, that these waves of trial are intended to bring us nearer to God, to encourage us to be strong and take heart.

yesterday, as i came across in 2 Corinthians 12:10, I've learned and realized that though at this very moment of my life I feel so weak emotionally, physically and mentally, God's strength is always enough for me. i know that for when I'm weak then I'm strong because God (Jesus Christ) is my source of everything, Indeed! so it's no time for worries, just stay calm and trust Jesus.

How about you friends, how are you responding to life's difficulties? remember, they are God's loving way of drawing us closer to Him. Trust Him.

it's a breath of fresh air

hello, people! it's been such a long time since i posted some updates about me. i really do missed blogging and reading blog posts of the people i follow.
life has been so very busy lately, particularly in my academics. that's why i  really don't have time to update my blog.

so here's my first update about the happenings in my life..

early this February, my sister and I just went back to healthy lifestyle. :)
every Saturday morning, we do our best to wake up early and jog for at least 1 hour.

that 1 hour a week can really do a big help in our lives.
exercise/jogging is the most easiest and cheapest way to work out and make ourselves healthier.

plus, we also witness the beautiful sunrise.
it's been so long since i saw a beautiful sunrise in the city.

sunrise reminds me of God's signature for the day!
for me, its one of the most beautiful creations of God.

that's all for now. i will post again for another updates.

Happy Weekend!

i stand

You stood before creation
Eternity in your hand
You spoke the earth into motion
My soul now to stand
You stood before my failure
And carried the cross for my shame
My sin weighed upon your shoulders
My soul, now to stand

So what could I say?
And what could I do?
But offer this heart oh God
Completely to you

So I’ll walk upon salvation
Your spirit alive in me
This life to declare your promise
My soul now to stand

So what could I say?
And what could I do?
But offer this heart oh God
Completely to you

I’ll stand
With arms high and heart abandoned
In awe of the one who gave it all
I’ll stand
My soul longs to you surrender it all
I am is yours

it's been a long time...

since i blog. so since it's been a long time, i wanna share some updates and happenings about me in past couple of weeks.

first off, I've been hanging out with this cute lil' boy (Rj, my nephew). He's my buddy every Sunday Church Service.

#2. ever since i really wanted to learn drums and it's my dream to be a "drummer", someday haha. oh yes, my dream came true, last Sunday i started out a drum lessons, of course with the help of our church drummer. I'm so happy that she really spend time teaching me and my other church-mates despite her busy sched.

although i have some knowledge and few backgrounds about drums, it's really hard to learn a new beat. i think it's one of the most hardest instruments to learn but i'll take it as a challenge. this week my assignment is to learn/make my own beat of the song "For all You've Done". huwow, i don't think i'm gonna make it in just 1 week. i need to find time and put effort in practice.

#3. i think it's ok to become addicted if it's addiction to Lee Min Ho. of course, I'm the number 1 fan of his newest Korean Action Drama series, "CITY HUNTER".

who wouldn't fall in love with this adorable guy. love him much.

#4. a simple reminder to make life worthwhile. need to remind myself about these..

and lastly, life as we know is not all about happy things, there are also times of difficulty. just like many of us, my life is not always about happy things, i also undergo difficulties nowadays. it's hard to tell the whole story. despite the difficult situation i'm going through now, all i can do is to trust God's way. have faith on Him, trust His heart. i'll never know what the future holds but i know that the Lord is already there waiting for me. He's always faithful, He's always there to help me. He has great purpose and i know He's preparing me for greater usefulness.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Have a Fruitful week!
