Lessons of Obedience

" we know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commands. The man who says, "I know Him", but does not do what He Commands is a liar, and the truth is not in Him." 
1 John 2:3-4

Obedience to God is a lesson that we must, sometimes reluctantly, learn over and over again. 

When we are obedient, we show to God that we love Him and have more faith in Him than we do in ourselves. 

we only lie to ourselves if we say we love the Lord but does not obey what He commands. We are still in darkness, because darkness has blinded our eyes. 

"but if anyone obeys His word, God's love is truly made complete in him. this is how we know we are in Him. whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did." 1 John 2:5-6

to obey God means to relinquish what we want and choose to do what He ask. 
God requires the obedience to His followers, and Jesus placed great importance on it.


He asked in Luke 6:46, "why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord' and not do the things which i say?"


and He issued this challenge in John 14:15, "if you love me, keep my commandments."

to say we follow  Jesus Christ

without attempting to obey

reveals our lack of faith that

He will lead us right in every way -sper
